The day of the clear out has arrived, and as was to be expected the MB protesters who have been camped out in Rabaa for weeks now are not leaving easily. Cairoscene is providing live updates throughout the day, but as of 12 pm today these are the updates. I hope for an ultimately peaceful solution to his clear out, but unfortunately I don't think anyone is really expecting that.
9.39 - Gunshots heard in Raba'a Adaweya, where weapons have been seized from with-in the dispersed sit-ins.
Egypt woke up to the news that pro-Morsi sit-ins in El Nahda and Raba'a Adaweya Squares are being cleared. We'll be updating this article as the events unfold.
